Darrana Howlcrusher is an exceptional non-binary gendered halfling ranger. Sie (preferred pronoun?) is a strong survivalist and warrior, from the plains of Zabu. A temperate area in the South of the world of Ud, between the Jungle of Spears and Penca Vale. Darrana’s family name, ‘Howlcrusher’, is honorable among the nomadic halfling tribes of Zabu. The Howlcrushers, for centuries, have acted as defenders of the perimeter against Gnolls: a society of evil territorial humanoid-hyena beasts that would often attack after dusk. The Howlcrushers would rush dogback to attack any would-be slaughterers; keeping their distance and raining a barrage of arrows down on the vile encroaching gnolls.
Darrana and Grumpus:
Sie has become an adventurer purely for the sake of curiosity (and for fear of returning home with one less riding dog – oh the mystery of Tubs McGee!). Inspired by the proclamations “A wealth of opportunity!” by the vessel’s captain, sie sold her bow and boarded the small merchant ship in search of riches and experience.
Sie found herself at the ruined docks of the once-city Troutbeck, where sie has found potentially new friends, and vile orcs with some twisted plan of blood and slavery…
